To add to Schmoo’s story: He went to the vet at James Cook University, Townsville, when he visited. Schmoo has one eardrum growing back because they do regenerate. There is a small hole in this eardrum. He is on tablets for malassezia which he has always had. They are quite expensive, but there don’t appear to be side effects. I get a special FaceTime call with news of Schmoo.
I still miss him.

Aww, glad he's improving Cherry & that his eardrum is growing back, will he still have to stay out of the water? He probably misses you too.

Yes SueA . Schmoo won’t be swimming until he is much better, although Moira has bought him a waterproof ‘something’ to cover his ears for when he is a little better. He is such a strong swimmer it is a shame. The Hungarian Vizsla is an elegant and gentle dog. He whispers tales of Budapest to me and listens to George Ezra singing Budapest. Do have a listen to I am the Vizsla by Vicki Arnold. This is a great song. But a little long. What a coincidence; George Ezra just came on the radio singing ‘Budapest’.

Bless her, she has done well with all the problems she's had Granny Goose. I think she's lying there acting as a colour chart for you - paint it this colour mum.

Despite having a collection of blankets, fleeces and comfy vet bedding she prefers to lie on a tatty decorating sheet!😁 But as she's an old lady now she gets away with her eccentric behaviour. Her health problems are ongoing, and always will be but she's still a happy, gentle soul.

Aren't our pets funny Granny Goose . Bella has a good selection of fleeces etc, on different chairs, but a few days ago I found her curled up and sleeping on a plastic carrier bag that had fallen on the floor !
I'm sorry Winnie has ongoing health problems. I hope she's all right. One of my grandmothers was called Winnie

Bella sounds a character too, Eli 😀 Pets are funny aren't they? Why do they like drinking dirty water from the bird bath, rather than the nice clean water from their bowls...? Why do they turn up their noses at a different brand of food....? Why do we love them so much... 😁 Winnie's OK (thank you for asking), she has eye problems, thyroid problems, arthritis and skin cancer, but apart from that she's fine 😀 We keep her going with loads of medication and lots of "tender loving care".

Awww your Winnie is gorgeous, Granny Goose she looks good given that list of problems she has - she must get a lot of pampering. I'm afraid I lost Linnhe, my 17yr old, tiny black kitty last month - rather sad, but she was only keeping going on stacks of medication, and after yet another heart attack, we had to let her go. I miss her badly after having her since I was a teenager, but it had got to the point where life was pretty miserable for her and us, as we could barely leave her, plus 5 lots of meds a day, and she couldn't breath well. So I'm glad she's at rest and I've got a little plaque for her in the garden, and will find some nice ferns or something to put in the shady area her grave is in. Life goes on and the bantams are enjoying the spring planting... a little bit too much. They got in my new beetroot bed and dug it up, after I'd planted the seedlings in the first photo, so I had to replant them all - but they didn't want to eat the plants, just dig for worms in the soft beds!
