My OH is horse mad, luckily I have no room, guess who would have to do the mucking out, handy for the garden though. It would be nice to have some sort of animal, what about a few chooks?

there are a few on my facebook page that were taken by the estate agent for selling it. I've just found them, for a non facebook user I'm feeling rather pleased with myself ;D Your house is as lovely inside as it is out. It's like the Tardis, it's so spacious inside.

I think it going to look lovely Rosie, but lots and lots of work. The sky's definitely unlimited and views to die for too.

I really haven't done much updating on my patch and it's about time i did!! This is what one part of the flower garden looked like just as i was beginning to sort things out... And this is that same spot now, i think it's a tad better than it was I will get more pics taken when it's more colourful!!

You wee rascal Rosie You knew I had just dug out an island bed so you had to go one better I haven't got a thing in mine yet but your lovely pic is pretty much what Maureen has in mind. Was thinking of sowing some wallflower this month and putting them in with some tulips etc just to get a splash of colour next spring and in the meantime think how to do it more permanently. I have plenty stones to go round it but am a bit reluctant to use them like the way you have done as it makes getting the lawnmower up close more difficult so I think I may do an edge all round with gravel or chuckie stanes as you might say.

Your central bed looks lovely Rosie, and I like the border along the side of your house too

Me a wee rascal? that was polite The bed was done in 2011 i think and it has really filled out nicely. I found it was awkward with the lawnmower too so what i did was i put the stones around the bed then cut the lawn (i use the word lawn loosely!) about 3" back from the stones the the mower goes right up to the edge
