Your weight is not terrible anyway Hywel. I think the breadmaker has been my downfall. I could never put the bread away without cutting a hot crust and loading it with butter and honey.

Dare I ask how much you want to lose, Cherry? I suspect that breadmaker will need to go in the cupboard for a while!

No no. The breadmaker is still being used, but I am only eating one slice for breakfast with olive spread instead of butter. I know I could do better, but this is far better than the two thick toasts I had, which got buttered again when the butter melted, and then marmalade or Vegemite on that. I have not thought too much about my ideal weight, but I could do with dropping a dress size. Any weight loss would be great because I was moving up at a rate of knots.

That should help, then. You sound as though you have things under control! I'll be interested in hearing how you get on.
I've moved to porridge (made with water) for breakfast as a change from stewed apple and yogurt. I occasionally have a slice of toast instead.

Esther, I have far too much chocolate in the pantry, but have sneaked some of the good ones into my wardrobe (hidden) for emergencies. I hope this does not happen, but if it does, one choccie would not hurt too much if I am basically good. At present I am not needing it, but I think the body changes all the time. Dieting is easy at present, but we will see if I can exercise control over my cravings.

Your all doing great!! you can always feel the weight loss before you see it. And remember the slower it comes off the more likely it is to stay off.
I have porridge made with mostly water too Geranium, but i do put in a small amount of milk as it improves it no end, maybe only needs about 20/30 ml, it makes it much creamier, and i put fruit on it, usually mango but it's fine with any fruit really.

Oh bread is one of my downfalls too I eat far too much, and I make toast for a snack if I feel peckish. And It's always at least two slices I can't go in the village shop now, because every morning they have a delivery of fresh bread, and it's still warm when I get it home. I could eat nearly a whole loaf

Is it the bread or what we put on it?

But we should eat carbs, as part of a balanced diet, so no need for guilt at one slice of toast as long as you don't pile on butter etc.

I'm really pleased with myself I've lost 2 lb last week, and that's with out exercising just going for a walk every day round the block, and cutting out snacks and biscuits, cakes. I did start back today at my keep fit class just gentle, I hope I don't ache in the morning , I felt really good after it

That was good Lesley and reading your post it seems that we all know what we should do. Is your knee doing exercises too or do you have to modify them?
