I've signed up as a 'Hedgehog champion' but there are no more packs available to be sent out, you can download info. & join in the survey though. I've got a hedgehog house at the bottom of the garden but I don't think there are any hedgehogs hibernating in there, I did spot some hedgehog 'poo' this year though so they must be aound.

I'd be worried if you're seeing them in the daytime, it usually means there's something wrong. Put some meat based cat food or hedgehog food out for it if you want to help it Tel, it'll need to put weight on if it's going to hibernate soon.

they usually have a 'set' run across gardens, so maybe if you put food out it will find it

Seen this morning, only a young one. I love hedgehogs and they are is serious decline in Britain. If i left food out here the farm cats would eat it, i found one eating the bits i had carved off Abbie's birthday cake yesterday

it's the same here Rosie, but I read somewhere to leave food out in a little shelter that cats can't get into and they would find it
