You're welcome. I came home from the village market with two houseplants my friend had brought to sell - a Crassula and a Peperomia. I paid £2 for the Crassula, and she gave me the Peperomia.

Lovely. I love Skimmias! Is that a Lophomyrtus? I can't read the label.

I bought a Delbard rose 'Red Intuition', R. Love Potion and a maidenhair fern called Marsha's Pride. Do we have this, or should I bring a bit?

I decided to go and buy some pansies and other plants to go in my containers for the winter. I got violas and cyclamen as well, plus an ornamental cabbage and four small evergreens for the centres of the pots. The GC had reduced all the prices, or put them on 'special offer'. Is this a sign that they're not getting customers in?

I read in this weeks Amatuer gardening that B&Q are considering not selling plants anymore I think they are suffering low sales too. I do like the red leaved shrub Esther, gorgeous colour

I googled the fern as well Cherry & the only things that came up were Australian & US details, it says it needs tropical conditions with high humidity & is suitable for indoor or greenhouse growing.

We have very similar native Adiantums over here Cherry, that one seems to be a cv of that part of the world, I think if you could bring it over it would need winter protection

As for B&Q, if they looked after their plants better, they'd make more profit! I'd guess they have to dispose of half of them because they don't water them!

The trouble is they don't have the staff to do plant care, it was like that when i worked in B&Q, all the garden staff complained many times to management about the plant care, it fell on deaf ears
