A new J.Parker's catalogue arrived in the post yesterday full of spring bulbs etc. - I may be tempted. This is a dangerous time for me SueA . I must be strong.

I got it too, but I have a lot of garden vouchers that I haven't been able to use yet, so saving them for when the bulb arrive in the garden centres, then I'll look again

You're showing a lot of restraint grindle! ladybird we'll have to form a support society for people who buy more plants/bulbs/seeds than they can possibly fit in their gardens!

Well I haven't actually bought anything YET , but just thought I`d mention that I finally won one of those gardening competitions from gardeners world magazine . It might just be a pair of £3.99 gardening gloves but I`m smiling

Fed up as I still have 2 swollen ankles with a huge burst blister on one from the insect bites/stings I decided to cheer myself up with a visit to the garden centre! I was looking for a small climbing rose to add to a trough at the side of the garage but they only had a few in stock at Fryer's Roses & none were suitable so I came home with a couple of sempervivums, some compost, bird suet treats, 2 strawberry plants & an osteospermum which was £1 in the sale!

You really are very allergic to insect stings SueA. I can’t imagine you in North Queensland. Plants are so much more enjoyable if they are a bargain.
