I saw this at half price in a local supermarket. I haven't had much luck with them in the past but thought I'd try again.

That`s a lovely orchid Eli I hope it gives you many weeks of pleasure. Someone had a sense of humour or perhaps the name is latin for something ? I see Thompson and Morgan have a £1 seed sale (on selected seeds) for 24 hours . I`m very tempted as I need some pansy seed....... I might wait for the "All seeds £1 " offer though

I read on one site that the correct way to pronounce it is 'bi-GIB-um' but the way I said it first sounds funnier
I hope you get your pansy seeds ladybird.

I did buy some seeds Eli, only the ones I didn`t have as I`m trying to be good and not hoard so much. No plants but I bought a new box for my flower seeds which arrived this week . Its a Hobby life 13L plastic box with clip on lid, two strong collapsible carry handles and extra clips at the side making it air tight. I `m well pleased with it as its slightly bigger and taller than my last box so it will take taller indexes and it still fits on the fridge shelf.

That's a good idea ladybird, you are very organised, I am impressed. I'll have to take a leaf from your book, some of my seed packets are in an old tin with no lid, and some are in an old carrier bag and some are on the floor !

We nipped out to J. Parker's as I wanted some Minnow daffodils & a few primulas to finish my hanging baskets, got a shallow terracotta pot for some mini irises & a bag of bird suet nibbles but they didn't have any ground feeding tables. Saw 2 ring necked parakeets fly over while we were there, we saw some last time so they must be permanent residents round here now.

I keep telling myself I'm not going to buy any more plants but I couldn't resist this lovely Callicarpa. I've wanted one for years

I was feeling fed up this morning so since the lockdown has ended here I thought I'd go to a near-by garden centre to buy a nice pot for my new Callicarpa. I ended up buying FOUR pots and FOUR shrubs. I can't remember them all but one is a Daphne, and they are still in the car so I'll take photos of them tomorrow.
