same here SueA not sure how true it is, but someone told OH that it's not a shortage of flour but the distribution, putting it in small bags, could be the reason

That’s right grindle. There is a flour mill here in Downham Market and mine comes via a friend of my son’s right to my door. There is a baker opposite the mill, which sells eggs and flour, yeast, etc., but I don't go out as there are too many problems with my heart, even though I feel good. I do yoga with a closed group to keep me fit. This friend of my son, the flour man, has had a shock two days ago, when his son was taken by ambulance to the hospital in King’s Lynn with coronavirus. I am scared to go out now. It has brought it close to home. He is just over 30 and on oxygen.

The police have just posted on one of our local Facebook pages that the 2 rottweilers who attacked our neighbour's dog a couple of weeks ago (he's fine now) attacked an 8 year old girl outside our local small Tesco store on Thursday! The woman owner was arrested & the dogs have been taken into kennels until the court case but the policewoman who posted says they will be trained by professional handlers & hopefully rehomed. I've no idea how the little girl is but I imagine it mustn't have been too serious if they are talking about rehoming the dogs eventually.

Thanks for updating this story for us. I am sure when they are trained they will be fine, and I would expect they would be separated. If they are going to be rehomed, this sounds like a good outcome. The new owners would probably be vetted as to suitability.

The police said the little girl wasn't seriously hurt & they knew the woman from previous reports of her dogs attacking other dogs but weren't able to do anything before they attacked a person. There seem to have been a few cases around here of dogs attacking other dogs recently, I think it must be due to lots more people being at home during the day & taking their dogs out more who aren't used to meeting others. I think animals are getting confused as well as us & while some are enjoying having their owners at home some are probably missing going to 'doggy day care' centres etc. - there are a few of those around here & dog walking services etc.

I think it's stupid that a person, especially a child, had to be injured before anything could be done. They were very lucky the injuries were not worse. If they had been able to act sooner there would have been no injuries.

I bet Dylan is getting bored grindle, I think quite a few people around here are actually taking the dogs out twice a day or if there are 2 people able to go out one takes it in the morning & another later on, it must be very difficult especially if they haven't got gardens. I get emails from the PDSA & one of them had ideas for games to play with your dogs at home including a 'destruction box' which they said 'only if you don't mind mess' - you take a large cardboard box & fill it with torn/crumpled/shredded paper with toys/treats/biscuits hidden or wrapped up amongst it & then tell your dog to find them! Could be fun - or not!
