That is great Graham I am so pleased that you have managed to get your plants in and you will be able to plant your own out. The Northern committee lads planting out will make you most welcome. Fingers crossed for a good growing season for them.

I have been told that some dahlia plants in the trials, at Golden Acre Park, have been stolen. Earlier I understand young trees and shrubs had been stolen too.

Hi Tel I wonder how Scrumpy's varieties are shaping up Greenway Zoe and Greenway Moonlight both very strong plants with me. I don't understand why people would want to rob Dahlia plants from the trials. I believe five varieties were taken. Lots and lots of cuttings have been taken in the past by tight walleted individuals but to take whole plants well it beggars belief.

I am wondering if it is a dahlia grower who knew what they were looking for, or the same people who have been stealing the young trees and shrubs.
