When I washed the trays yesterday I left them all stood up along the wall under the car port to dry. Today I have put them all away neatly under the greenhouse staging. I mended a few that needed it. I just bind some tape round them. I have also washed all the pieces of glass that go on top of the seed trays when I am sowing seeds.

Lovely photo of you all Derek, and what wonderful news to look forward to a new arrival in 2023. What flower seeds are you going to sow? I will be reading with interest.

Thanks for your comments, Libralady and Grindle. I will tell you the seeds I sow, when the time comes. This afternoon I went to Blackleach to do the bird count. This morning and this afternoon when I got home I begun washing all my plant pots, of which I have rather a lot. It will take me a long time to do them all. Started with the small ones, yoghurt pots and custard pots.

I told you a few days ago that I had washed all my seed trays. Today I found a pile that missed before so I washed these this afternoon.

Started at Blackleach country park again today after two weeks off, the wellbeing walk this morning and art club this afternoon so no time for gardening today and this is what I will be doing every Thursday. I don't take part in the art club. I just sit at my desk, reading or writing. I have to make new bird and flower charts for this year so I started doing those today.

Heather arrived yesterday evening and is staying till tomorrow evening so I took the opportunity to go to the allotment this afternoon. I took four of the bags in which I had grown potatoes. I hand weeded the front half of the onion bed and put the compost from the potato bags on it. It was raining this morning but dried up this afternoon ,allowing me to go.

The weather was the same as yesterday, raining this morning but dry this afternoon. Went on the allotment again this afternoon. Finished hand weeding the onion bed, put the compost from another three potato bags on and raked the compost all over the bed. Heather went home this evening so I won't be able to go on the allotment again this week.

This morning I have been doing some tidying up on what I call my utility area in front of the shed. There were many pots needed emptying and there were buckets ,trays and other things lying about which needed putting away. This afternoon, I have been pruning my H.T.roses in the back garden with some new secateurs that Alex bought me for Christmas. Didn't quite finish them because bad light and rain stopped play about 3.45

It rained all morning and was showery this afternoon so I couldn't finish pruning my roses. So all I could do this morning was wash some more pots and this afternoon I had to take Rosemary to the dentist.
