Just this afternoon for gardening today but I went to the allotment to get the rest of the veg for Edenfield show and did some sorting out of them when I came home- Runner, French and broad beans, tomatoes, courgettes, marrows, peas,and rhubarb.

Been getting my things ready for Edenfield show most of the day. Went to the allotment this morning and cut all the flowers then cut some from my own garden this afternoon .I then had to do some more sorting of the veg and a final tidying up of the pot plants. After shopping this evening I have loaded up the car ready for an early start in the morning. I want to be there for 8.00 if I can.

Yes I did have a good day, I put 72 entries in and got 21 firsts, 23 seconds and 10 thirds and 2 trophies. I got a trophy for the best exhibit in all the flower classes with a vase of mixed annuals. The other trophy was for the best exhibit in sweet peas . There were 2 sweet pea classes and I won both. The only first I got with dahlias was I single bloom of Jomanda from 8 entries. I got a second with Ruskin Andrea. I put 3 Jomanda in which I thought were very good but they won nothing. In veg I got first with French bean (10 entries in this), broad beans, peas, marrow and the heaviest potato. I will show you some pictures, probably tomorrow.
Just went to the allotment this evening to water and she wanted me to bring some lettuce
