update time.All coming along .Hamari gold has got over being attacked by leaf hoppers and is starting to grow away.Fairway spur also is starting to catch up with the others.The most vigorous seems to be silver city.Jocondo is the most advanced of the giants.No buds visible yet on sir alf, hamari sunshine or fairway spur.On the others I have removed all wing buds and also de shooted at least the next node down,on some I have de shooted two nodes down.

Progress report;Jocondo,Zorro,Hamari Girl and Silver city are the earliest.Just found buds on Kenora Valentine,Still none on Fairway Spur,but to be "fair to the spur",it is slightly shaded by a blackcurrant bush.
I'm watering every other day from a can,Usually 2 gallons per plant.The seaweed seems to be acting as a good mulch and may be supplying some nutrient as the part in contact with the soil starts to turn to slime and degrades.
