I haven't done anything on the balcony except take out the variegated Geraniums that I removed from the planters around the cash machine and repotted a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if they will survive the winter in the mini greenhouse on the balcony table.
I noticed they didn't look very happy so I got them down from the top shelf to examine them more closely and remove dead leaves and stems in the hope of saving at least some of them. But I went back indoors, probably to get the secateurs, but got distracted by something and never returned to the balcony! 🙄
This morning I will go out and finish the job I started yesterday!

On Sunday I arrived home to find my son had lifted a trailer full of leaves which were very compressed to take to the farm for composting. I had completely filled the brown bin, but there will be another trailer full of leaves soon. I don’t complain because the woods make good neighbours.

Though I said in my previous post I would go out & finish checking over the variegated Geraniums in fact I didn't put a foot outside at all today - other things got in the way, like arranging things for our flight towards the end of the month!

that will be nice for you balc2 Tied up the tree fern as they've said it will be getting colder near the end of the week, also potted up the 3 bare roots of helenium that arrived which I'm hoping will be good sized plants in the spring as I'm redoing the front garden

Hope they grow well for you, grindle! Before going to bed last night I put the variegated Geraniums back inside greenhouse.
