Wow! Yum.
Just hoping that I can locate enough tomatoes of the same variety for my show on Sunday. These ones aren't show tomatoes ML. If you want to win at the shows you really need a Goldstar type of tomato. There are a number of varieties quite suitable for local shows so for next year there is plenty time to make a selection.

Esther you tomatoes look gorgeous. I've got same varieties in and out. Haven't got enough through yet to decide which is best for me. I have to battle with mine like a knight with a dragon to get from one to the other in my greenhouse!

So are they a size or flavour type thing? What are the criteria that the judges are looking for? Next year I am planning on growing tomatoes for us to eat (Until the wind changes direction) but I am interested.

Size and shape if its a dish of 5 you need to match them for size and colour, just like 5 dahlias in a vase. Esther post a pic of some tomatoes called Shirley earlier they are worth showing and eating too. I found goldstar a good taster, but like anything else we all have differing views on what is a good tomato to eat.

My Sungold has leaves which are slightly blistered and mottled or blotched yellow. It does not look like blight pictured on google sites, and the tomatoes are ripe now and fine. This plant was stopped by a mouse when it was younger and I had to wait ages for a side shoot to grow. I would not think this is the reason but it gives the full picture of the plant. This is the only plant affected and is at the back of the greenhouse.

It could be mosaic virus, Cherry. Any chance of a pic? The fruit will be fine to use.

I just looked it up daitheplant and that is exactly what the problem is. Will other tomatoes catch it? Do I need to treat it?
