Not had an allotment in over 20 years, but am going to view one tomorrow. I think I have already decided to take it on no matter the condition.lol

If you take the allotment, you could always grow some dahlia's, I know a good Garden forum, where there is plenty of good advice on growing and showing dahlia's. lol

Received a phone call this afternoon from the council allotment officer, offering me the tenancy of a allotment across the road from us. No mares tail on these allotments. the plot is not as big has those I have at the moment. Had a look at it this afternoon with the Allotment Secretary. I have accepted the tenancy, will have to nip down to my other allotments, in the morning and pick up my sprayer and weed killer. should not take long to bring it up to scratch.

Excellent Terry. Go for it. Wanted to drop off daff bulbs at mine this morning then go checking out the garden centres. Ended up yapping to the secretaries husband for over an hour.lol
