I sent one to Lesley by PM - I could type it out for you if you like?

Thanks. I will get it out of the attic and find out if it works and let you know what brand it is, etc. I have only made bread by hand regularly when I lived in the south of Scotland, but that was a long time ago.

Here's the recipe I use in mine. It's less heavy and dense than all wholemeal flour. half a tspn dried yeast 275 g. wholemeal flour 125 g white flour I tbs brown sugar teaspoonful butter 1 tblspn milk powder 1 tspn salt 300 mls water. The yeast goes in first, then all the other ingredients except tthe water whch goes in last. My machine does this in 5 hours, but it also has a timer. I do hope that works in your breadmaker. Let me know. In the meantime, I'll keep looking. How old is yours? Cherry this is what Geranium sent me, have fun and let us know what make it is. I haven't got it out of the attic yet Les, but thanks for that. It is a bit of a hassle to find it. I will probably get it tomorrow. However, when I get this out, I have the ingredients already on this thread. Thanks for that.

Are they good, do they work well, is it worth it, would you recommend one? thinking of getting one, I need an 'add ingredients time' type....I think I could have fun adding chillis or tomato's

I've had a breadmaker for years Steve.....On to my 3rd Mine is a Morphy Richards....its quite unusual in that the paddle (the thing that goes round in the bottom ) falls flatish when the loaf is baking; this way you don't get too big a hole in the bottom of your loaf. Most makes have a beeper when you can add nuts, fruits, chillies etc., There are a wide range of prices so you can pay as much or as little for one as you like. In fact the machine I had until recently was the cheapest I had ever bought and lasted the longest......Hope this helps pet

Mine is a Panasonic, and it was a retirement present. It also has a flap to put dried fruit or whatever in. I think breadmakers are wonderful - the bread is so much better than what you can buy. ;D NO additives, either!
