I loved the Lewis Trilogy by Peter May. Read 'The Black House' first, 'The Lewis Man' next and 'The Chess Men' last. I am now reading 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' by Khaled Hosseini for the second time because my Scottish daughter-in-law wants this book next and she will pick it up when she comes to visit in a few weeks.

I have read all the books by John Grisham and they can be quite 'samey' but I liked 'A Painted House' best.

I find most authors stick to a tried and tested theme.

I find most authors stick to a tried and tested theme. Like putting words down on paper.

I just recently started the Game of Thrones books. I was hooked on the show, and now that the fourth season is over – I could not wait another 10 months to find out what some of my favorite characters are going to be doing. This is why I decided to pick up the books and start reading.

I just recently started the Game of Thrones books. I was hooked on the show, and now that the fourth season is over – I could not wait another 10 months to find out what some of my favorite characters are going to be doing. This is why I decided to pick up the books and start reading. Never saw that programme. Don't even know what it is all about. Sometimes with a film of a book the story does't seem to do justice to the book or the other way round. I think the thing about reading a book is that you can let your imagination go to town which can lead to disappointment when viewd on screen. The main thing is whether or not you like it.

I'm back to history again with this book which deals with a part of WW1 which I was unaware of.

It was Germany's dying gasp at having a world wide navy.
