So far, yes. Some strange stories as ever in a war. Very early on a certain german destroyer sailed straight in to penang and shelled and torpedoed the ships at harbour where everyone thought they were far from the war. then he sailed away and encountered a fully laden ammunition ship but took off the crew before blowing it out the water.

I'm not laughing. You just feel in a mood for Harry Potter Geranium. My younger son read Philip Pullman twice, and now he is reduced to Jeremy Clarkson. My 50 years old son reads the same murders and thrillers that I do to get him off to sleep.

I`m not laughing. I`ve never read a Harry Potter book. I would love to read all the Just William, Famous Five and Swallows and Amazons books again.

I loved the Famous Five books, but I would probably find them very dated now. My son has the complete set of Biggles at a huge cost and holidays to Ross-on-Wye. When he completed the set we had champagne. Maybe it is Hay-on-Wye. I can't remember now.

I particularly enjoy Joanne Rowland's pseudo-Latin that she uses for the spells and incantations! I think she must have learned Latin at school. When my best readers in my (Infant) school were choosing their own books after they'd finished the reading scheme, many of them started on Harry Potter and they loved it! Does this mean I'm in my second childhood?

My readers when I was assistant loved the Harry Potter series too. I was an assistant in Reception and P1, but took all the school for reading. I loved doing this and took a great pride in the reading ability of the pupils in this Oxfordshire school. I had been a volunteer for many years for reading.

Cherry, Hay on Wye has the biggest book fair, and the highest number of bookshops, in Britain. Blaenavon, in the north of Torfaen, also has a lot of bookshops.

We've been to Hay on Wye several times. It's a book lover's paradise. I'm on HP 3 now and still enjoying it!

Never read a Harry Potter book though I have seen the films. I think reading should be encouraged more especially the young as it so much more satisfying than the stuff that passes for entertainment on our screens these days.

Unfortunately, sweetpea, it seems the 3 R`s are no longer taught in schools.
