Really enjoying the discussion and the sharing of ideas and information. Having a job keeping up with you all! Taken a 1000 or so cuttings over the last couple of days. First batch for orders due to be taken next week. Roughly 4000 or so to take. Some varieties as usual a little bit shy which makes life a bit awkward for our early orders but the signs are there thank goodness! Started sending chrysanthemums out this week (dare I mention them!)
interested reading the different methods used to encourage growth on tubers. We have tried most and also covered tubers with pots or put trays under the bench. This draws the cuttings but the smaller leaves made them easier to insert and prepare. They very soon green back up again. Happy propagating and may all your cuttings root well!

I ordered sues kilmorie and Tom mcclelland already. Thanks Raymond. He is not doing too badly. Got him home from hospital last week (Thursday) after he had been in since early November. He had pneumonia twice whilst he was in there. At least popping in on the way home from work is a lot easier than the numerous trips too hospital almost every night.

Glad he is at home dahliadave . Best place for him nothing like home comforts to assist a recovery. I bet he can't wait to see how things are progressing with the tubers. All the best

My jiffy 7 delivered today weird looking things. Those garland titan trays are enormous but very useful. I might use one for the pot tubers Plunge the pots into them will need to add some drainage though.

I must label mine better next year Lou78W some of the ones from last year label fallen off. I usually tie the label on with strong string...or well tucked down the side of the pot...it was unfortunate that they got tipped over and the labels mixed up...

One of the frustrating things we have found are permanent marker / garden labelling pens fading. Not wishing to be a posting advert but last year my Dad ordered some from Halls which didn't fade. Funnily enough we ordered some from Halls yesterday, Dad another couple and I bought a couple for myself.
