Just 18 cuttings left on the heated bench. Still need to take more cuttings from one particular variety though.

Diggie pm Dahliadave he will want to know and I am sure will sort something out for you. Hi Ian,I have contacted Halls and they tell me that a number of customers have had the same problem this year, so I am sure dahliadave is aware. However all they are prepared to do is supply me with 3 cuttings for each failed tuber. The cuttings are grown to order and I am waiting for them to arrive. Thank you for your concern.Just to clarify, this year we have sent out over 3000 tubers! Including some to Japan, New Zealand and the USA. We have made arrangements to supply replacement plants for 50 tubers at the most ( where we did not have replacement tubers available).and these appeared to be restricted to just a few varieties. I am sitting with all of the rejected tubers that were too small to send or did not look sound and wish I had space and time to take cuttings from them or more importantly wish they were tubers of varieties I still need to get cuttings from. Sometimes it can be just the luck of the draw and tubers can fail to come away. I have had a number of trial tubers sent and unfortunately some won't make it into the field as the tubers broke down despite best effortss. Hope tonight is not as cold as last night- we had minus 4!

Garden Friends has been one of the more productive ones- got 30-40 cuttings on the go at least. Some that failed will be replaced by young plants from the raiser. There should still be at least 60 for our trials- not all of them are totally new. some we try just to compare with what we already have.

So I got my hillcrest jersie two good plants one ok one just rooted and one the tiniest thing I have ever seen it has roots but I don't know if to small to grow For this season.
I might only be able to grow the three and pot tuber the tiny one.
In hindsight i should not have bought it.
A member in Kent who's tubers failed was sent 7 good sized plants. Mmmmm.

At least you didn't get a credit note for next year. Very disappointing, looking forward to getting some exciting and new and then miss out, with supply out unable to keep up with the demand. Raymond from what Lou78W says sounds like you have been very lucky to get any as all.
