The dahlia's have been out all night, it poured it down, the dahlia's will be water logged. Don't need root rot. Tel I have mine out now and I shall be hoping against root rot. I wouldn't have thought about it had you not mentioned it so thanks

:'(You were lucky to get it at all @raymond; I had to get a refund for mine, and that was from the breeder That's a shame Lou78W especially as you ordered it ages ago. At least you didn't get a credit note for next year. Very disappointing, looking forward to getting some exciting and new and then miss out, with supply out unable to keep up with the demand. Raymond from what Lou78W says sounds like you have been very lucky to get any as all. Sorry to here that Lou78W . Moonlight yes I am lucky To have those thanks to Andrew aspital who propagated it for me. Jersie is a cross of cherwll goldcrest and it appears to have inherited all the bad traits of the goldcrest in terms of providing cuttings. This is what les Jackson told me. Let's hope the blooms are worth it. Main dahlia bed now all prepared base dressing done forked it and then watered. Was thoroughly weeded First By hand. Now to Start the front Beds A bit behind in that respect. Will give main dahlia bed a final rotovate a week before planting out.

Well I've given the allotment up, after a long think I've realised I'm not going to be able to look after it properly have only managed to get there twice in the last month that's before the new baby comes.

That's a shame Mark, you can always apply for another later. I rented my first allotment after the children grew up.

Really sorry to hear that MarkE after all the work you put in. You just need to make that plot at home a bit bigger ! All the best with the new arrival when he or she comes along !

That's a shame....but you have greater priorities now........perhaps when junior is a bit bigger......he or she can give you a hand. !

The shame but family comes first - so when is baby due? it's due on the 21st it's our 3rd so it's sensible to just grow the ones at home.

That is wonderful news Mark. I mean about the expected baby, not the allotment. Priorities!
