Tel it is worth the effort you then start knowing your plants are clean. Use a rubber glove when dipping.
Happy planting Tel

It's amazing what you learn on here. I would never of thought of submerging the foliage before planting. I have some Provado ultimate bug clear concentrate Lou78. The mix is 20ml of concentrate to 1 litre of water.

Thats what dose I use, the only problem is there's waste at the end , anything systemic is good to use if your planting 200 or 300 hundred at a time it's so quick an easy wear some gloves, a few years back me and Stan had a problem with Mellon afid no matter how meny times we sprayed could not get rid so we dipped the plants now there history.

Raymond I dip the whole plant very beneficial good luck At the risk of sounding a special kind of stupid. Please could you just 100% clarify. The whole plant dipped with it's roots dipped as well? or just the foliage?
Having just discovered that all of mine are being eaten alive, cannot allow myself time to faff about. My ultimate bug spray - ready mixed, leaks as I spray and more goes on me than the plant.
So will buy some concentrate and dilute if that is considered a better choice.
Got all my plants outside in the rain. With an attractive blue mulch.

Tel just discovered some on my seedlings.
Went to the horticultural shop, didn't see what I thought that you all meant so came home without. :(Going to try somewhere else.

Hi Moonlight I dip the whole plant pot and all. I put the plant into the dip and pull it out backwards if you like. Happy dipping
