Seen a lot of articles about dahlias in the general press this year SueA noticing more and more in people's gardens. You get a lot for your money in terms of flower power. I hope it is a return to dahlias being in "fashion" again in terms of general gardening which I hope will spark some new interest in showing etc.... So many colours, shapes and sizes. Truly amazing and Fascinating plant.

That explains the increase in catalogue requests this week. David Brown was up a few weeks ago spending a good few hours looking around. His NDS silver medal.awarded at Wisley was very well deserved.

We visited dahliadave at Halls on Friday. The dahlia fields are still full of colour and I took a few photos..... Tel Birkenshaw Garden Friends is doing well in the trial beds; and Dave gave me a few blooms of some of his first year seedlings...He is unable to post pics atm, so gave me permission to download some here (coming up shortly if tinypics is behaving )...

Like your pics Lou, I like any of the 'Rossendales' and that looks like a winner. I've grown a couple of Mr Kershaws this year and they're great. Did any of the Dahlias in particular catch your eye Lou?
