Difficult time right now. Dad's been round and he doesn't look very well at all. I know that my Mum is very poorly and my Sister seems even worse.
Logically I know that there are members here who are having to live through worse but right here right now I will be honest and say I am finding it difficult to keep chirpy here when my heart is elsewhere. I wish I could do more for those that I love and care about but I can't. I don't really know what to do, just feeling like curling up in a ball and cry but then that won't change things.
Moonlight p.s. I do have news to share. p.p.s. Light hearted banter and general leg pulling is if anything encouraged here - think we all could do with a bit of light relief. Family update: Family still not well, my Sister and I want my Mum and Dad to go to the doctors. Spoke to my Dad over the phone Thursday and he sounded weird, breathing. I panicked and rang my Mum, they were in the same room so luckily I could tell from her that he wasn't a bad as I thought he was. Spoke with my Sister Friday and she asked me if I had noticed Dad wheezing. That was when the penny dropped, that was the weird noise that he was making. She is really worried about him, she wants him to go to the Doctors because she thinks that there is a chance that he could end up with pneumonia. I couldn't ring Friday because it was very busy but I am going to keep on at them both / all 3 until I get them to the Doctors. Mum said that she was feeling better today... I've told her that she needs to see the Doctor because even if her body was feeling a tiny bit better, if she went to the Doctors she would get some medicine to help her body to get better quicker.
HH still isn't right, still has these quite violent coughing fits but he is a lot better than he was.

Work is very upsetting because there is being a restructuring. Today 10 people find out which of them will be the 3 that will be keeping their jobs. Some people have been there as long as 24 years. It's awful. People that we all care about, care about each other are trying so hard to keep it together but are crying.
I am really worried about my family and I am worried about friends at work, Especially 1 whom I worked closely with for 7 years (we only stopped when I went on Maternity leave) and has been at working there for 24 years.
I'll do my best to update and share my news but if I don't sound as chirpy as normal then wanted to explain why and trust me I am not moping. I know that technically these are known as Gardening Blogs but I've always thought of and used as a Diary.
Moonlight p.s. I do have news to share. p.p.s. Light hearted banter and general leg pulling is if anything encouraged here - think we all could do with a bit of light relief. Work Update: My friend that I mentioned before is one of 7 that lost their jobs on Thursday. Horrible feeling but somehow knowing has made it a little easier to cope with because at least we know now. It seems that 24 years of experience isn't considered highly enough to be a consideration. I wasn't coping with the being totally in the dark and not knowing, so I am glad that someone told me Thursday evening. I don't know the future but I hope that she manages to find somewhere that appreciates her as much as I did and still do when we worked together. She tried her best as did the other 6 friends going for those 3 jobs but couldn't do any more than that. I'm lucky that I don't work Thursdays it is no shock to hear that apparently it was awful. Tuesday won't be fab but at least I've got a job to go to.

Yes get your dad to the doctors. Being outside so much doing all that digging it could well be a chest infection that could get worse as you say. Nag him moonlight they are so stubborn parents sometimes. My late mother had a heart attack and refused point blank to see the doctor. She sat in her chair being as stubborn as old boots. In the end me and my sister overwhelmed her with abuse And she relented. The doctor took one look at her and went bezerk.
There has been a bad respiratory virus going around with a hacking cough that takes ages to go away. Hopefully HH has this and it will go in time. Loads of my friends have had it me included.
Fingers crossed for everyone that they are on the mend Soon. Go over and demand they see the doctor . Threaten your dad with round-up on the dahlia seedlings he will be at the doctors first thing Monday morning! don't actually do it but make him believe it ! a white lie does no harm.
Take care and best wishes to everyone that they make speedy recovery to good health .

Thinking of you all ML. Hope the health problems work out ok and the work ones. I know you will do ok with the tubers Thanks sweetpea - re. the tubers not so sure that they would agree with you right now... Not sure if taking a photo now would provide evidence for the prosecution or the defence on that one.

Audrey sitting on the compost. Told that there was mould on the stem. Dad told me to cut it off lower than the mould and trim all the wispy bits as they are more likely to go mouldy.
So I did.
