Building up to sowing some seeds. Wanted to test which works best for me (this year) obviously Thinking of using a mixture of compost only / compost + vermiculite / compost + perlite to try and stop me from over watering. I've been through my seeds... 'I'll do that first, and that first and that first or maybe I should do that first.....' etc.
Decisions. Decisions. Should be a lovely day but no where near as hot as yesterday.

I'm growing quite a few new varieties this year, as I've got multicoloured labels, I've been colour coding them by type but not size. Purple Labels: My balls (ooh er Mrs) Pink Labels: My Decs Yellow Label: Pom: Pop Willo Blue Label: Anemone: Blue Bayou Red Labels: Waterlilly: Orange Labels: Collerette
I don't have any semi/cactus plants yet but I am guessing that when I do, they'll get stuck with green labels as it is the only colour that I have left. Pity really because I don't like green and semi/cactus classifications.
My intention is to colour code my seedlings by the parent varieties.
No idea how long I'm going to stick with this but it will help sort out things in my mind. Then I will spend less time squinting at the labels with the sun in my eyes and more time doing something else.

I planted Willo's Violet, Tisa, Nuland's Josephine, Kenora Valentine and Marston George seeds last night and begun a scientic investigation using Brenda T seeds which I have plenty of and not a variety that I am particularly excited about but I collected the seeds and am happy to be very wrong. It has the potential to do well because Brenda T is a good variety where as Tisa isn't a strong variety but I really like the colour - so totally worth a shot. A Brenda T seedling with the form of Brenda T and the colour of Tisa, would be very much appreciated by me. Beauty in the eye of the behold n all that stuff but the best bit of all this is seeing those totally random blooms open up. Ugly or Beauty - I love it.
Photos to follow but I'm can't do anything else until I've planted my semi / cactus seeds.
