Going back to the drawing board literally printing out my photo that were part of my plan, so that I can cut them up, lay them out, blu tac into possible positions and then change my mind and do it all again.
Then I'll eventually get them how I want them and then knowing me I'll change my mind a tad when I finally plant them out.
Hay Hoe.... gotta start somewhere...

It's been a lovely morning I've taken out all the dahlias except the 4 USA tubers for me Dad, my youngest seedlings and the potatoes. Everything sitting on the grass and just watered them so they are just chilling catching the rays.

Tel what size canes would you recommend that I use with my Collerettes?
One thing that I noticed when I went through my dahlias last night was I hadn't seen my Teesbrooke Red Eye which I was sure that I ordered. I did scan read through my email and saw that I wasn't going mad - I had indeed ordered it. I've rung me Dad - all the dahlias from that ordered went to him and he hasn't seen it. Went through the order info then realised that I have no recollection of Weston Buccaneer either.
Dad is going to look to see if he has the delievery note and check through his and well now I have even more reason to fine tooth comb my dahlias. I don't know why I didn't pick up on it earlier.
So guess what I am going to be doing this morning...

I did not need canes with G Friends on my plot. All the others are new to me, so I will use the 3ft ones, don't think we will need longer than that.

Good, tempted now to be a bit of a rebel and let them go 'au naturel'. Wonder if the neighbours would complain? Highly unlikely, anything would be preferable to the weeds that are currently out front.
