lol.....I mean this nicely.....but you are all mad!! Yep, guilty as charged. (I glossed over the fact that I had been insect killer dipping at gone 10 past 10*, that night.) with my solar lights providing just about enough light to get them almost all done. I was desparate to finish but had to give in with about 8 plants to go. My rock solar light gave out on me. (*That's the time HH came down and told me.)

p.s. Credit where due HH removed the Spider from Fairy's bedroom. He got as far as an open front door and 2 steps inside before Fairy dashed downstairs to ask him for the emergency spider sos removal.

Currently seriously hacked off with the tree stump. Dad was muttering about Rotavatoring and all I've got is a building site. Should get some men at work signs. Anyway going back out to take a bit of my frustrations out. Don't mind me sorry about being grumpy.

It doesn't suprise me that the young ones are helping with The Pit.

A lot more angry but now on a roll thwacks... The deed was done.
Not sure what the garden path will be like when we put the earth back in. (especially when Fairy had been chipping away at the cement underneath)
1 pit sans stump but with the ends of large roots identified by the orange and green trowels that I want up as well. Don't want those getting in the way of the dahlia tubers, especially when I am trying to dig them up.

Just spoke to me Dad to tell him the news re. stump. he asked if the girls saw the last bit - er no. Oh well.
He is having Rotavator problems. It's raining now and it was raining last night. So it looks like a lot more digging here.
But I have some good news.
Dad said Yes I can grow one of his seedlings.
He also told me not to grow Cherwell Goldcrest at the far end of the row as it is quite a short plant, like Trooper Dan is.
So now it will have to be
Oakwood, Cherwell, Zoe, Greenways Zoe and Flump at the end. Alternatively it could be Oakwood, Cherwell, Greenways Zoe, Zoe, Flump. or it could be Cherwell, Oakwood, Greenways Zoe, Zoe, Flump or lastly Cherwell, Oakwood, Zoe, Greenways Zoe, Flump.
I think I'll let the varieties with the most wins help me decide order, I'll go look it up.

(1st, 2nd, 3rd breakdown list in the 'red book') Oakwood Goldcrest - 32points (Ruskin Myra - which I'm dropping this year - 20 points) Cherwell Goldcrest 13 points Ryecroft Zoe - 8 points.
So there you go: Oakwood Goldcrest, Cherwell Goldcrest, Ryecroft Zoe, Greenways Zoe and last but not least my Fred 4 aka 'Flump'.

Update I've just removed that big thick stumpy root end where the green trowel is and I've hacked and mushed up the orange roots. I am not going to try and follow it along, just going to leave it now to nature. Fill it in and leave it all but with the contents of the manure in with it. Lots of woodlice when I moved the sacks. Grim.
Anyway got absolutely soaked in the process. Well it wouldn't be me without doing something in the pouring rain. Soaked. Yay!
