Thank you - all.
Very interested in the comments about the colours.
HH has made the comment that my dahlias haven't been as bright and colourful as last couple of years. So I having to have a major rethink. I also have to think about what I actually can grow now successfully. This year I haven't been able to exhibit any giant / large/ medium. So the logical thing would be to focus on my miniatures. I love deep colours especially purple and that deep, deep red. My Dad has got a couple of seedlings that I can grow - subject them growing through the winter.
I want to get the pom called Irish Glow and I am going to give Weston Stardust another time - which is one that Fairy likes.

I was really annoyed with myself when I cut my Fred Fire for the show but left it behind.
However my Dad did enter some and came 3rd.
The yellow cactus / semi came 1st much to my Dad's disgust. (As I said before he is happy to accept defeat when there is something better but not on this occasion.)
This is stunning and I've asked my Dad if he can give me one next year. I am a very lucky woman. Can't wait.
