Just rang my Dad to tell him ian. Dad said that it made quite a small tuber (but also that he hadn't expected it to make a big tuber) and it is on the heated cable now. Early days yet and ever cautious in his assessment.
Think he was chuffed to hear that you had asked but he did also mention that of the 2 he preferred the yellow one.

Tel Dad also said that Garden Friends which I grew as a pot tuber was the 1st to get going out of all of them. In comparison to other posters in the dahlia forum, Dad's were started off later. So a lot are still snoring! Better hurry up and wake up tubers!

When the weather improves I'll have my tubers back.
