I have got to say it is one of the better Bi-coloured Dahlias Kenora Sunset, and of course if shown in a medium semi class along side of other Medium semis, the fact that the colours cannot be matched up cannot or should not be considered as a fault when judging, so if you are happy with the form, center, depth etc. then there is no reason why it should not be competing with the rest for a place. Happy days |

The pollen beetle look happy. Did not even spot them Scrumpy. Hahaha . Spraying tonight all of them Capsid bug damage showing up. |

Same garden friends this afternoon. Is this how the double ring should look Tel ? Or is the there another ring of pollen to come ? Minus the pollen beetle scrumpy hehehe It is small but not taken wing buds off or stripped any other pairs off also a little bit of damage and pearls not even in size or shape.Growing all three plants in same spot. 18 inches apart in part shade. But a lovely dahlia delighted and honoured to grow it.  |

But a lovely dahlia delighted and honoured to grow it. You would be ok with a ring like that just. for showing it last season I took wing buds and disbud I pair of leaves down. Now I will have to see if it is possible to increase the size of the bloom or decrease the size of the other varieties. But there is no set size for a collarette blooms under NDS rules, so can be any size. |
