[quote author=" SueA " source="/post/136504/thread" timestamp="1448875862" ]Good job you rescued him Rosie ! We just spend Christmas quietly together, I've never had a big family & am not happy at big get togethers & although I bake a Christmas cake we don't go in for a massive meal or anything. The Cyber Monday emails have started now - 54 so far this morning!
Its quite funny really cos he told everyone he would never marry again...he asked me after 24 hours!

Wow, rosie That must have been love at first sight

And hot cross buns! Such a disappointment - we won't see our granddaughter et al after all - they will be going on Christmas Eve. I spent most of yesterday wrapping pressies - almost finished before I make a start on the cards. I have to make a dozen mince pies today for a Church 'do'.

I have my Christmas cards to write, and finish making the December birthday cards I send, and then my Christmas will be all done and dusted. The rest of the month, I read about it, or watch it on the telly.
I don't think I miss the works' Christmas party, as a non-drinker, they are a spectacle can live without.

Don't send me Christmas cards please as I will be at younger son's house. As this is an online medium, I'd only planned to pass on Christmas wishes here, in the forums.
Some of you have know each other a long time, though, haven't you?

It wouldn't surprise me if Easter eggs aren't in the shops somewhere before Christmas!
Don't forget the Boxing Day Sale adverts will be all over the tv a couple of days before Christmas too!

I`m looking forward to Boxing Day when the first of the Easter eggs go on sale. Boxing Day was my mother's birthday. We used to go to her relations and have more pressies and another Christmas dinner It was like Christmas Day all over again ! They didn't sell Easter Eggs so soon in those days.

dianthus just a very few of us send each other cards, and a general Christmas greeting will be appreciated. It has been years that a few of us have known one another. The price of postage is a real consideration now too.

The price of postage is a real consideration now too. If I finally sort out how to upload photos, I could 'post' some of my handmade cards here.

Cherry that cheese was bright blue & there was a bright green & bright red one too, we didn't get close enough to see exactly what flavours they were- there were a lot of people looking at them & the cheese stall absolutely stank - lovely if you like cheese but I can't stand 'smelly' cheeses. I think he was saying they were natural colourings & flavours but they certainly were eye-catching! I've got a feeling of 'deja vu' I think I post the same pictures every Christmas from the markets!
