I replaced a Yucca with an Acer Butterfly. There wasn’t enough sun light for the Yucca but the Acer should love it.

Hope they're OK, Rosie. I didn't get in the garden today - too wet. I am sooo stiff from doing too much yesteday, though!

I agree Merlin. That is a perfect position for an Acer.

I don't know that particular Acer - what colour leaves has it got, Wf?

Green and white with a pink edge.
I hope it likes it there, it's a bit of a nothing corner at the moment. It won't get the afternoon sun and will be protected from the wind.
I potted up all of my bargain bulbs today. It was far too wet to plant them straight in the garden so I'll put them in later when they start to grow and the weather is warmer.

I had some work to do indoors that couldn't wait any longer, but I did have a browse through Dobie's catalogue. Very tempting.

I've been weeding a couple of the borders in the front garden. Noticed that something has broken off several stems from an aucuba that only went in 6 months ago, very cross about that Whilst i was out there i heard the unmistakable sound of a group of long tailed tits in the rowan tree Sat (well, squatted really) still for a few minutes whilst they played and ate I am sooo tempted to get stuck in out there but i really am loathed to because i'm not convinced the minuses won't be back in this next couple of months
