Many people here in Wales moaning that the Welsh Government are way behind with their program and I've yet to hear of anyone having had theirs. My mate in Exeter who is 80 years old had his first AND second one weeks ago. At the current rate it will be old age that gets me rather than Covid

I'm not old enough to be in the top priority group, but since the virus won't be conquered for a long time yet I don't suppose it matters. Patience is what we need

Martyn, our son ,came for us at 5.05 to take us for our vaccinations to Irlam leisure centre which is near where Sue lives. We were there about 5.40 Our appointments were 5.45 and 5.46 but we had to wait nearly an hour before we were called. Then we had to sit for 15 minutes to make sure we were O.K. We got home about 6.30. Heather, our daughter who lives at Porthmadog is having hers tomorrow. She is only 56 but she is a priority because of her job. She is a home carer looking after elderly people who are all vulnerable . She has to go to Llandudno for hers which is at least 30 miles away. Her shortest route is through Betws y Coed and Llanrwst but there is often flooding there so she may go through Bangor which is further so she may have to go 40 miles. Glad ours is done and we are both O.K.

Heather phoned to say she is home again and she was in and out in 25 minutes .Our arms are still a bit sore but nothing to worry about . I'm sure they will be O.K.tomorrow.

Mine was a real adventure. It was late afternoon last Saturday. I had to go online for an appointment and got one straight away. The road was bumper to bumper for 1/4 mile, but we had to spend a long time in the queue. The car park was small and only the size needed for a doctor’s surgery. When I got out of my son’s car, I decided to leave my umbrella as it would be another thing to look after. The car left the car park and then it rained, after which it snowed, gradually turning to big flakes. Of course, this was a queue for people instead of cars. After a long wait, I reached the check in desk under an arch, but then waited again in the snow to go into the vaccination tent, with 2 sides open. After the injection, the 15 mins wait was in another freezing tent. I walked back 1/4 mile to the car in the sleet as it was by this time. No-one complained, and I felt very grateful. The car park attendants and many of the workers were volunteers. I had the Pfizer.

Oh dear Jen sounds like a day to forget. Let's hope for better conditions when you go for your second one. I got my letter this morning to go for mine. Just around the corner from where I live but whether indoors or out I don't know yet. Anyway 2nd Feb. is my date. Nothing for Maureen yet.

My age group are being offered slots at several hospitals and some of my friends are going today. My GP is currently only doing the over 70`s and vulnerable. I`m stuck in no man land as I`m 68, only moderately venerable so GP is out but I can`t travel atm due to my UC flaring up . I`m wondering if all GP`s will eventually offer the vaccine to the over 65`s eventually ? I don`t like to ring and ask as they are inundated with calls atm and of course if they do it might take months who knows ?
