Well it is keeping him busy and the ideas seem good. This happened to a little stall in Feltwell Road on the edge of Southery. However, after a few times when the money box was stolen and the stall ransacked, they gave up which is a great pity. They were good at farming flowers and veg, have loads of chooks and enjoyed doing this in retirement. We were all deprived. I wont give up, if I do they have won. If I did give up I'd drown under all the spare plants I'd have ;D

Been really busy today this morning I prepared lots to freeze, runner beans, blackberries and sliced lots of windfalls of the bramley apple then cooked them ready for freezer later. This afternoon been putting lots of well rotted manure on the front boarders as the soil is very poor. Wont be by the time i've finished with it

I've been tackling the very worst job I have to do in the garden - cutting back the brambles that attack from two sides, over the farm fence. I got scratched and bashed my head on tree branches. I didn't get completely finished, because it started to rain. Several of the 'stems' were twelve feet long! I last did the side fence in July. They've grown that much in just a few weeks!

I'm sure they grow several inches in a day. In my previous garden the neighbour never did his garden and the brambles all came over. I had to cut them back every few weeks - long arching arms coming over the fence. - Terrible it was I can sympathise with you Geran ium I hung the washing out, then forgot it, now nature is rinsing it for me ;D ;D

Thanks, Hywel. I still have to get the steps out and reach the top of the fence to cut the wretched things back as far as I can reach - also, I spotted some growing through the Viburnum by the front gate. I'll have to deal with those as well. If the weather's dry tomorrow, I'll finish the job.

I have been working a bit on the front bed, it is beginning to come together, i put a wooden edge along what for now is scrubby grass and have built up the soil level and planted in there, Got no home made compost left now either ;D Graham is going to do the rest of the central bed then it will be covered in chuckies. You can hardly get a lawn mower in so covering it was the best solution
