I just noticed that my snowdrops & hellebores are actually starting to open up now & then I saw a few more clumps which are partially buried under dead stems/leaves of geraniums etc. so it's encouraged me to go out & clear them up a little. Yes I'm going to go out & cut off this hellebore leaf with leaf spot on it now! ;D

Those Snowdrops are lovely Sue and so so welcome, we're all straining bat the bit to get started and snowdrops are a good indication that it won't be long now. Is anyone planning a 'snowdrop walk' ?

My Prunus mume 'Ben-chidori' is starting to flower! And my Iris reticulata bed is in bloom, with more to come. Cream Hellebore.

Those irises look lovely Geranium, I spotted one with a bud on it coming up yesterday but it looked a bit nibbled so I'm not holding out any hope of it opening into a decent flower!

Sue, your snowdrops are lovely. I must go and have a look for mine tomorrow. They are in the woods.
Geranium, your irises are very early.

They are indeed! I must check my photo files and see when they flowered last year. I'm ashamed of the length of the grass, but it's far too wet to cut.

Those Iris look lovely en masse, something eats the stalks of mine just below the flower head. That is a lovely photo of the snowdrops Sue. Most of mine are still buds and quite a bit later than last year, perhaps they need it colder.
