You are as good growing roses as you are with dahlias Tel. That rose is delicately coloured.

I can now put the pics the right way up. A fortnight after this was photographed, these asters are now compost. They were on their last legs.

Nevertheless they look lovely. I've never had much luck with them in the past....might have another go next year.
The lilies are lovely too....very refined looking blooms.....do you know the variety?

Lou these amazing lilies were free with something else I bought and next to this one grew the most beautiful one I have seen, so I picked it and gave it to a friend. It looked more like the pale one. The name is not on them and I can't remember where they came from. I wish I did.

Did you grow the asters from seed, Cherry? They make a lovely display. (I like the lily, too). Well done for sorting out the photo orientation, by the way.

I did grow them from seed Geranium. I think the seed was in the seed swap too. A. 'Milady'. They branched well. This is extremely hot here so unless plants are timed for autumn use, they just go over too quickly. There are early iris and small daffs in there for the spring.

That looks like a Miscanthus - is it? I have one very similar - a friend gave me a small piece a few years ago, but it's a nice clump now. She didn't know the variety. I can't post any photos today. My laptop is having a 'funny five minutes' and refuses to connect. So I'm using the PC, and I don't have any photos stored on here.

That Anemone sure is a zingy colour Grindle.
I won't grow any grasses here, because I can hardly tell them apart from the wild ones, and some of them are very pretty. Your Miscanthus is pretty.
