Begonias have done really well this year, haven't they. My favourite late Summer/Autumn plant is in flower. Aster x frikartii 'Monch'. This Clematis -'Aljonushka' - scrambles, rather then climbs. This year it has produced more flowers than ever before!

Yes Geranium. A good old variety which has not been bettered. I did a gardening course at Waterperry which held a national collection.
Super clematis.
Esther, I hope everyone saw your sunflowers. You are welcome to post them again as they had such a short time in the August subject.

I do like it very much, but does it have to be more even around the centre for showing?

I do like it very much, but does it have to be more even around the centre for showing? Your right Cherry, it is still young too, needs a couple more days. It is one dahlia i will keep if only for the garden. It was Longs that suggested the name for it. So it will always remind me of him, because somehow i have a feeling he may have passed away, i cannot see him just leaving the forum because he had too much of a interest in our dahlia section on the forum.

A few of my September flowers - Sedum 'Purple Emperor' Chrysanthemum Tricyrtis formosana Eupatorium maculatum Tricyrtis - supposed to be 'Blue Wonder' but more purple than blue!

I do like Tricyrtis - they're fascinating. Cherry, I'm planning my new (future) border against the new wall, and I've bought two more Aster 'Monch' for it already! This is the final rose for the wall. I found it at the Show yesterday. It's called 'Calypso' and it's just what I wanted. It's a not too vigorous, repeat flowering climber. 'Gertrude Jekyll' has a flower on her - I think the colours of the roses will go well together, alongside the purple Clematis and the Aktinidea leaves. One of the Clems that came last week has a flower - it's 'Warsaw pumpkins'.

Lovely pics., I love toad lilies too, had some years ago but they eventually died off, think it was too cold & wet for them here!
