Hallo @hywel - nice to see you again! I had exactly the same experience - I had stored some and noticed a flower stem appearing on one, so I potted it up and got two flower stems earlier this month! peony, I hope you find the Diascia - I love it and it flowers for ages. This is a photo of one of the front beds - you can see why I pull out the Byzantine Gladioli ASAP - they make it look messy. The Allium sphaerocephalon are looking great - I planted several groups of 7 or more last Autumn and I'm enjoying them, as are the bees.

This Amaryllis is flowering now. It hasn't flowered for several years, and I actually forgot about it after last summer. When I found it again this May, under some staging, I thought it was dead, and was going to throw it away. But luckily I noticed it was firm and had lots of roots, so I repoted it, and now it has 4 flowers (only 3 open at the moment) I am very pleased that it's still alive even though it's flowering at the wrong time of year. Thanks, peony. It'll look better once all the Byzantine Gladioli are out. I have three Aster frikartii 'Monch' in there which are just starting to flower - the bees like them, as well. I tried to get some photos against the sun yesterday evening. This is part of the top border now that the Phlox are in full bloom. The bees love the Oregano. It was buzzing when I was taking the photo, and it also attracts butterflies galore. The Valerian officinalis given to me by a bird is now a clump, and I like it in combination with the Perovskia, especially when the sun's on them.

Thank you Sue. It was a lovely surprise, especially since I thought the bulb was dead.
Geranium your garden is very pretty. I love that blue Phlox.
Here's a photo of a Clematis Venosa Violacea which I am very pleased with this year. It had a poor start, with many mis-shaped flowers, and poor growth. Now however, it is romping it's way through all the surrounding shrubs, and is full of flowers and buds

That looks really healthy & pretty @hywel despite it's poor start, you must have nurtured it well! A few of my clematis have suffered from wilt this year but are recovering after being cut back.

I've lost (or mislaid) several of my Clematis this year - I do hope they'll reappear next year. By coincidence I took a photo of my Clem. Venusa Violacea yesterday (in the rain!) because it's turned out much paler than in previous years. Here are two photos side by side so you can see what I mean!

Thank you Sue. One of my Clems developed wilt last month, so I dug it up. I was going to try it in a different place, to see if it would grow better there. However, I mislaid it, and I still don't know where it is. ... It's probably dead now. That's strange Geranium. Pity the colour is so pale. In have Multi Blue, and it came out pink this year. I don't know why. I wonder if it's anything to do with the very hot weather. Here's a photo of a fuchsia I bought recently. It's called Tuonela. I used to have it years ago, so when I saw it again in a nursery, I had to buy it. I like the pale coloured fuchsias best of all. Attachment Deleted

Gorgeous penstemons Tel , I've got some similar to a couple of yours but nowhere near as many flowers on them. That 'Clotted Cream' jasmine looks yummy! I love that first dahlia seedling too but all your seedlings always look worth developing to me!

I took a couple of photos last night in the dusk as the wind was picking up & the storm was on it's way & I didn't know if these would still be standing today! My yucca has flowered, I've had it probably 15-20 years in a huge pot on the decking & I think it's only flowered about 3 times! This is a pot of tree lilies called 'Nymph', they're not exactly 'trees', only about the same height as my other lilies but they have the most fantastic scent! P.S. They're both still standing today - just leaning a bit!

I have some and it is a favourite of mine Steve, it always reminds me of the millet sprays you used to hang in budgie cages
