he has a shed, workshop and a double garage. Often have to go into one or the other for the vacuum cleaner. Funny he never uses it in the house

not a plant, but garden related, I've finally given up on the waterfall feature at the top of the garden, the reservoir for it isn't really big enough and it was forever drying up, the last straw was not realising it was empty and it messed the pump up so I've ordered a water feature that looks like stacked logs to go with the woodland feel, it's all in one so should be easier to look after

My son brought me the 2 trays of Pansies I asked him to get me on Saturday so I will have work to on the balcony during the coming week! He also brought the bag of compost I asked him to get me.

my son lives quite near Hardy's garden nursery so he very kindly took me over there on Sunday, it's such a well run one with lots of info about the plants. Even though it's very near the end of the season I did manage to find some plants to take back home with me, as I was very tired when I got back they're still sitting in the car so will take a photo today

Picked up a couple of trays of Viola's and a few cyclamen plants from Homebase earlier today. Hoping to get my bulbs planted in a few troughs and overplant for a bit of autumn/winter colour later this week.

I remind muself every year "DO NOT BUY ANY BULBS" (as I usually end up dying or I plant them out when I see other peoples in bloom )but onca again the pictures made me buy some tulips and hyacinths a few months ago in lidl..........still sitting where I unpacked them On the plus side I managed to get loads and loads of seed in Mr. Fothergills £1 seeds sale. Thankfully they do post to Northern Ireland. I spent £294 but I worked out the original price would have been £1115.99 so I`m well chuffed that I saved £821.99

I always think of you ladybird with loads of seeds every year and SueA with squeezing bulbs in very late in the planting season. I am guilty of planting too close and so crowding my garden. I always feel I have room for one more. I hope I don’t appear too cheeky,

But ladybird if you don't grow & plant all the seeds that means you've wasted £294 - just make sure you plant them all out & enjoy them in your garden. 😊 Cherry you're right, I'm always late planting my bulbs - I'm quite early for me this year & I am going to have to sort out the garden as there are too many plants swamping others! 😁

I have bought some more bulbs from Farmer Gracey today and the 300 crocus and 200 Iris ret from Parkers turned up today. I will busy potting up for the next couple of days! About half will be going to my daughter in Norfolk for her new garden. The rest will go on my sales table and then in my garden if they don't sell. I never buy bulbs i don't like myself, just in case. Just hope the mice are not able to get to them this year.

I like a lot of variety and colour so maybe sow 10 plus varieties of Antirrhinums, Petunias, Marigold, Geraniums, veg, climbers, sweet peas, wallflowers, tomatoes ..... There is always a new variety or colour every year to get excited about.Ive just sent for another 13 L plastic box for my flower seeds . ( That will be 3 boxes now )

www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00F4LB2ZW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title The perfect seed box. Nice and high for seed packtes and raised A-Z partitions, slightly narrower at the botton so flipping through packets easy with a little more space at the top, airtight tight lid with four clips and sturdy callapable carry handles. I put stiff card down the middle and print A-Z partitions with extra seperate indexes for items under a letter with a lot of varities like Antirrhinums. pansies, petunias etc. and its perfect.
