Please tell your neighbour not to move the hedgehog again ladybird, if it got into her garden it can get out by itself, you shouldn't move them unless they're ill, injured, trapped in something or in immediate danger. They live under sheds & hedges & quiet corners in gardens & wander over a mile or two at night & will be visiting several gardens, if you've seen one then there will be others in the area. At this time of year in particular they could have babies hidden in a nest in or near a garden & if you move the adult these hoglets could die. We live on an estate & there are hedgehogs trotting between the gardens all night, I've looked out of the bedroom windows & seen them running across the road from the houses opposite to ours, they can get in & out of gardens through tiny gaps only about 4 inches x 4 inches & will sniff out food anywhere.

I heard a shuffling near the compost bins and thought I had a rat but I found my hedgehog which quickly scurried underneath the shed. Actually he/she is a bit smaller than I remember so its probable an off spring . I`m afraid to leave out food that might entice vermin.

That looks a lovely healthy hedgehog grindle! We still have 3 visiting I think & the little one who climbs the pots on the patio comes every night sometimes when it's still very light & it seems to be totally unaware of us standing watching it on the other side of the glass doors.

Our hedgehogs are back, I'd seen some poo a few days ago & put the wildlife camera out a couple of nights ago & there were 2 of them, they seemed to start off quite friendly but then it degenerated into a pushing match over the food! 'Gerroff!'

There was quite a lot of shoving & circling each other going on & in the morning the tray had been moved out of place - I don't think they like sharing!

saw my first glimpse of a hedgehog this morning, opened the back door to let Dylan out as it was just coming round the corner of the house, I quietly shut the door again and it disappeared, I knew they were coming in as there were calling cards, but this is the first 'sighting'

when I went to take Dylan for a walk yesterday morning there was a hedgehog in the road not moving, I did think it was dead, but when I went to look it was still alive and no obvious signs of being hit, it was pouring with rain so I moved it to the front garden so it was safe, it was very wobbly and didn't curl into a ball, when I got back it was still in the same place so put it in a box and covered it and took it to our vet's when they opened, they were quite happy to take it, at least it's in the right place, will phone later today to see if it made it or not
