Geranium I've contacted Apuldroses for help. I think it's Hywel who was asking, Merlin.

I've now seen the flowers on three of the new roses destined for the bank - 'Easy Does it' 'Pensioners' Voice' 'Tawny Tiger'. The others are in the same 'tones' of colour.

Orange is a lovely warm colour but can be a difficult, some 'Loosestrife' would look nice with them. If too dry there are some Salvias.

'Easy Does It'. An awful name but a beautiful rose. I think it is worth looking at the whole picture with this rose instead of just one bloom, which is gorgeous.

I was shown a catalogue from a supplier called Pococks - i'd not heard of them before but their stock is large and varied. Have any of you heard of them ?
I've seen a rose called Lavender Ice, in there, which i might order - it's got lots of lavender flowers which are produced in abundance.

Yes Louise. Pococks is a good reliable old firm. They used to do a lot of shows and maybe still do.

In view of the imminent cold spell I think I'll shorten my roses a bit. Most still have their leaves so I'll not go mad but I don't want them waggling about. I had hoped to cut one or two late blooms but the warm spell looks like coming to an end.
