Very pretty Tricyrtis Geranium , I've not seen that one before, I have had Tricyrtis hirta in the past but lost them in a bad winter, they don't like to be very cold & wet so I suppose I'm onto a loser here!

The white lilies are starting to come out alongside the others, they're not covered with rain, I watered everything this morning! The Alnwick rose is flowering beautifully again, you can see by the leaves in the background that it's the leafcutter bee's favourite. I like the way the flowers change colour too.

The Tricyrtis is beautiful, it's somehow reminding me of an aquilegia I've never seen one before either. (I can usually spell no problems but I had to copy and paste 'Tricyrtis' - bit of a finger/jaw breaker that one!) I have some nice bright mixed asters at the moment, the bees are happy; And a mystery Penstemon - I thought my Veronica had eaten it! But it's turned up with a couple of flowers, I think I got it from a roadside stall with no label. My husband gave me two standard roses, that were grafted to flower in two colours, peach and cream; but this one has started flowering in coral pink too! I guess it must have a rootstock coming through? My knowledge of grafting is a bit patchy. (Please ignore the sad looking mini fig tree in the corner It's going to my Mum's before long, to get some proper space to grow in!)

SueA Alnwick is a beautiful rose. It is a real baby pink. The lilies look really good. Your penstemon was a lovely surprise for you Bess and the asters look good against their pretty green foliage.

Love the asters Bess , if the pink flowers are growing from above the graft joint on the rose then they wouldn't be from the rootstock, maybe you just got a bonus stem grafted on, it looks good anyway! Your rose is beautiful @hywel , great colour & shape, are you growing it as a climber? Fantastic mixed bed Rosie!

I've stopped deadheading the mini pink roses now to let hips develop, a carder bee was enjoying them today.

That clematis with the 'bells' is cute, Hywel, I really like the idea of a climber with lots of bells! I'm glad you like my little 'friends' - my husband collects ceramics and buys me the animals when he sees them, and the solar owls give me a bit of light on the doorway at night. They give a bit more interest in winter too.
Lovely front patch, Rosie, love all the colours mixing together.

Thank you everyone for commenting about my plants. Yes the rose is a climber Sue, but it only ever gets to about 4 feet high.
Rosie what a lovely summery photo. It must be a joy to see that every day.
That's a dainty little rose Sue. It's lovely ...

They are all great pics and I would only copy the comments already made. Have you got a Big Book of Bees SueA? I have never heard of a carder bee. You really know your insects.

No Cherry , I've only got a book of insects which has a section withsome bees in, I do look up any I'm not sure of & I looked up common carder bees years ago, they tend to be mainly gingerish in colour & when I first saw one I didn't know what it was but thought it was lovely!
