Is this off the allotment Esther? What beautiful strawberries. Would you please put your jam recipe in the recipe section when you get time please. I have not got a satisfactory one and I do trust your cooking.

Thanks Cherry - they are from the allotment Last week I bought jam sugar with pectin and used the recipe on the back of the packet - it turned out o.k This week i am giving Delia's recipe a go - Will let you know how I get on

Thanks Esther. You can do the testing. I must say, I don't show off with jam and would never make it without using the sugar with pectin in it these days.

I'll bet they are lovely Steve, even with those outsize pips. ;D I must say they are early. Mine are just tiny seedlings which I might put in the paving stones on the patio. Would they be too big to plant between the paving stones? Would they be better used as an edging to the proper strawberry bed which is netted? This is how big the plant gets Cherry (leg shown for scale) ;D

Gosh I am pleased you mentioned these, and then photographed them beside you because they would not go in paving cracks, nor would they do for an edging. They really are a proper strawberry plant. Are they in pots?
