I prefer Toby to Monty Don and of course I would prefer Chris Beardshaw. I didn't watch it for most of the series, so the same might happen again, except when WF's garden is on.

I don't mind Monty & I think the prgramme might be better now it's coming from his own garden, I still think Carol is the best, most natural presenter though although yes, Chris Beardshaw is lovely too (does he do something to do with gardening?! ;D)

Really enjoyed tonight's program. Good to hear that flowers and other plants will have at least equal billing to veg.

I did too - I think the presenters have much more 'authority' and didn't talk down to the viewers. So much better than the last series!

Good Grief.....I can't cope with CB's smouldering looks and the way he talks about gardening and plants as if he's about to seduce them... I really look forward to Monty's GW, he did talk about flowers as well....and he mentioned the fact that vegetable seed sales outstripped flower seed sales. I think he's going to be brilliant. Not sure about Joe and Rachel's bit, altho it's nice to see 'real' gardens ....I miss Sarah Raven and her completely over the top flower arrangements.

I hope he's not going to take that as his cue to feature, heavily, growing your own produce If only we could have another presenter like Geoff Hamilton I thought he got the balance just right and was the best presenter, in my opinion

totally agree with you on that one. I still have this feeling we're going to head the veggie way as the season progresses

I did like Monty's garden, it was a bit too masculine but I did like all the hedges, I might have to grow another one or two. That potting shed was far too tidy.

Only watched the first few minutres (have Sky+ it to watch later)....but his garden looked stunning...why on earth was it not used when he originally presented the series??

I would love a she that size and how many pairs of secateurs lol! That struck me - and they all looked as though they were Felcos, too! Soooo tidy and well-organised! I do hope he doesn't bias the programme towards veggies...
