Good Grief.....I can't cope with CB's smouldering looks and the way he talks about gardening and plants as if he's about to seduce them... I really look forward to Monty's GW, he did talk about flowers as well....and he mentioned the fact that vegetable seed sales outstripped flower seed sales. I think he's going to be brilliant. Not sure about Joe and Rachel's bit, altho it's nice to see 'real' gardens ....I miss Sarah Raven and her completely over the top flower arrangements. I hope he's not going to take that as his cue to feature, heavily, growing your own produce If only we could have another presenter like Geoff Hamilton I thought he got the balance just right and was the best presenter, in my opinion I agree Louise. I got the impression that this was going to be his excuse to bias the programme towards vegetables I was amazed how many pairs of secateurs he had (I suppose they come as free gifts!)

I imagine it will be well balanced with flowers , fruit and veg. He did a series once from his garden re veg growing and cooking with his wife , it was brill, love to see it again but don`t know if was ever on DVD. I loved the ariel view, what a big garden he has.

I still don't like Monty Don, but I quite liked the programme. They went out more which I like and copied some of the ideas from Beechgrove Garden, which is deservedly very popular.

Beechgrove is still the best one IMO, the have the right mix of everything and it's very watchable, making you want more

I thought for a half hour programme, there was to many presenters. Unless they do one hour specials, they should not use Joe and Rachel. Leaving more time for the main presenters Monty and Carol, i think it was a bit cramped.

I think it was half hour in the winter/autumn then used to go up to an hour when more was growing in the garden

Pity it isn't an hour now! There isn't enough on gardening on TV.
