Thanks everyone, there is a lot of chickweed and fat hen and not too much of the unmentionables but I will be using quite a bit of weed membrane especially up the top end away from the tap.

We are hoping to get a polytunnel but it wont be until next year I dont think, but we will get a small greenhouse in March/April to do the seeds in and for Rob to grow his chrysanths in. Not much gardening been done, it is absolutely freezing! I order 42 dahlia plants last night from Halls! they should be here at the end of April which should work out well as we both have nearly two weeks off then. Today I have been shopping and bought 2 Stella cherry trees from £stretchers for £6 each, the ones we were looking at were about £30 each and I think these ones were waiting for us as there was only two and thats what we wanted I also bought 5kg of Kestrel potatoes today, some glads and also 3 tubers of Sir Alf Ramsey at £2 each will give them a go as its not much of a gamble at that price. Hoping it will be a bit warmer tomorrow so we can do a couple of bits and then I will get some more photos of how it looks now

Have had a really busy weekend, apart from my shopping sprees and ordering my dahlias for April we have managed to get a bit done down the allotment today. -planted the two cherry trees we have bought and staked them. -planted 4 chocolate cosmos plants in pots, have never grown them before but liked the look of them. -planted the 3 tubers of Sir Alf Ramsey -Bought and have chitted my potatoes, I got Kestrel and Edzel blue -Put in 3 fence posts, complete with met posts and wires for the blackberrys to grow along I forgot to take the camera to get some pics but I will get some taken tomorrow as its the end of the month. Here is a pic of how it looked a couple of weeks ago, I only took a picture of the top end as nothing had changed furthed down the plot.We are starting at top and working our way down. In the barrell are my small aliums and the three tress that you can see are the apples that we moved from the other plot, there is golden delicious, a cox and something else that I cant remember! As you can see the new compost heap looks rather smart,we wrapped it in pallet wrap to keep it all together and also to help keep the compost warm. Also I noticed today that the rhubarb is poking up quite well
