That is a lot of digging, was it fairly easy or had it been left for too long? The soil looks good.

Another wet and miserable weekend! wish the rain would go away as we have lots of digging still to do!
We have finished digging the first two dahlia beds and Rob has managed to get the front of the plot dug ready for potatoes.
We bought Red Duke of York, rocket and charlotte potatoes as well yesterday and I have just sent Rob down to the garage to see if the Golden wonder and Mimi have survived winter to plant!
My chocolate cosmos I planted and the Nargold have started shooting and couldnt believe how much rhubarb is up, I had forgot how much rhubarb there was on this new plot, I think we will be over run soon lol!

You are very lucky Candyblue to be able to get an early start.

Ours was too wet today to dig, we have been lucky and to be honest the soil has been on the cusp of being too wet but as I said Rob is a slave driver and says its just an excuse! Still I am hoping the rain stops so it can dry off again. We are very lucky where we live as the weather seems to go around us and we miss out on the worst of it, thank god!

If I could get two dry days on the trot I might be able to make a start on my plot but so far still too wet.

This is how it looks afte digging the beds so far, cant believe that the compst bin is nearly half full already, still it will soon beak down its only light weed and some bits off the other plot. Talking of the other plot thought I would post a picture of that one as its all neat and tidy at the moment, I wish the same could be said of the other end of it on our neighbours where they split the plot We got this plot in 2009 and I think this is the emptiest its been apart from when we first got it and that too was a blank empty plot that hadnt been used for a year.

Looking good Candyblue, you have enough room to grow a couple of dahlias on there, if you plant them close together.
